In meinen Arbeiten versuche ich räumliche Tiefe und Schichtung abstrakt
darzustellen. Jede Arbeit ist das Ergebnis einer Kombination von Farbe, Zeit und Bewegung. Wenn diese Teile zusammen kommen, ist die Arbeit abgeschlossen. Die Bilder entwickeln sich auf eine sehr rhythmische Weise und sind mit den Bewegungen meines Körpers verbunden. Ich fange meine Bilder mit einer Farbe an, die die Stimmung der Arbeit definiert, dann integriere ich neue Farbtöne, beobachte wie deren Zusammenspiel funktioniert und reagiere danach mit einer neuen Farbe. Ich suche nach einer Art Spannung zwischen abstraktem Gegenstand und Linien, die ich als ein Gerüst baue. Ich baue ineinandergeschachtelte Schichten aus Linien, so dass ich darauf klettern kann. Der Impuls zu malen kommt von etwas, das ich gesehen habe oder von einem Gefühl, das in einer kreativen Form dargestellt werden muss. Meistens aber ist es der eigentliche Prozess der Malerei. |
